Eng. Fatima Ali Asghar is the Acting Manager of the ICT Department at SEWA. She graduated from the University of Sharjah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and joined SEWA in 2005, bringing over 18 years of experience in the field of Information Technology.
She holds the distinction of being the first Emirati lady to work in the "SEWA IT Infrastructure" division, where she has handled and managed IT infrastructure, data centers, networks, telecommunications, and physical security systems. Throughout her career, she has built the foundational IT infrastructure and modernized the datacenter facilities.
To continuously enhance her professional journey, Eng. Fatima has earned numerous certificates in various fields. These include the Excellence Diploma Program from the American University of Sharjah, as well as Internal Auditor and standards compliance certifications for several ISO Standards (27001, 9001, 18001, 50001, 20000).
She has also participated in a wide range of workshops and training programs covering Strategic & Operational Planning, Leadership & Management, Toastmasters Club, communication courses, time management, and project management. Additionally, she has attended global technology seminars to share knowledge and gain industry experience. Eng. Fatima serves as a member of several internal committees and has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout her career.
