Professional Summary
I am Amazir Amanath, a Diploma Holder in Celestial Navigation. To convey how astronomy started in my life: from the age of 5, I used to watch Hon. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s history videos, which paved my way to astronomy. After passing the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, I finally got into astronomy during the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2022. At that time, I deep-dived into astronomy and some other topics like coding and advanced mathematics. For my work, I received around 20+ certificates from NASA & affiliates and 40 certificates in coding and math (pictures added).
At Grade 9, I earned many awards and appreciations for my work. I wrote the Sri Lankan Junior Astronomy Olympiad (SLJAO) - 2022 and got selected for the Bronze Medal, being the first to achieve this honor in the English medium from my province. Following this achievement, I created an astronomy society for my school, “Astronomy Society of Al Hira (ASAH),” making it the first school in the Eastern Province to have such a society. I also conducted a Space Camp with around 60 students and successfully organized the Moon Observation event using a telescope on our school premises.
I completed courses with the University of Arizona, and in mathematics, I secured a Bronze Medal in the Chithambara Maths Challenge. For my coding achievements, I was recognized as an Awesome TechKid by SLASSCOM this year. Now, in Grade 10, I re-wrote the SLJAO – 2023 and secured a Silver Medal. During the same time, I completed my Diploma in Celestial Navigation via Alison.
I also created Nebula Nova Academy, my own institute for teaching astronomy under the tagline, “Astronomy for Everyone!” My plan is to provide astronomy education to everyone at an affordable price. I conducted a free 10-day course in basic astronomy for around 15 students and granted them my official certificates. For the e-graduation ceremony, Mrs. Saumya Kumari (CEO - CISS) and Mrs. Zamrath joined virtually to congratulate our students.
I organized many events with international affiliates (all details included). As you know, I wrote and published 3 books about astronomy – Black Hole, Dark Matter, and Einstein’s Legacy. I have now been selected for the Cholan Book of World Record for these books under the title “Youngest Author of Advanced Topics in Astrophysics.”
