Tamer Saleh received his Ph.D. degree in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing from the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping, and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS), Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 2024. Since 2012, he has worked as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, Cairo, Egypt. He has published numerous papers in international journals and conferences and serves as a reviewer for several national and international journals. His research areas include remote sensing image understanding, mathematical modeling of aerial and satellite imagery, photogrammetry, computer vision, and the application of deep learning algorithms in remote sensing imaging. He received the Best Paper Award at the SARcon 2023 workshop during the ISPRS Geospatial Week 2023 international conference and a Travel Grant Award from the ISPRS TIF and AGSI North Africa for his participation in the same event in Cairo. In 2020, he was awarded the 5 Star Lake Award for Scientific and Technological Innovation, sponsored by HI-TARGET and LIESMARS, among all international students. He also received the Outstanding Student Award for International Students from Wuhan University, China, in 2021, as well as the Qinling Future Scholar Award while speaking at the Global Competence Forum for Young Elite in 2020.
