After initial training as a telecoms and computer engineer, I specialised in IT security before turning to the world of research after a brief spell in the professional world.

My thesis work focuses on the detection of cotton crop pests using AI based on satellite remote sensing.

After my thesis, I plan to pursue a career as a researcher in artificial intelligence applied to remote sensing, a field I fell in love with during my master's research studies.

I'm a member of the African Association for Precision Agriculture (AAPA) and GalsenAI, which promotes Artificial Intelligence for All in Senegal.
